Drop the wooden sticks straight into the bottle. For a small room like a bathroom, start with 2 to 4 reeds. For a larger living room, use more reeds for full strength.
Give the reeds 24 to 36 hours to draw the fragrance oil up the microscopic channels in the wood and start diffusing into the air.
If you want quick fragrance right away, flip the sticks over after 2 hours so the wet ends sit at the top. (Pro tip: Always use a paper towel to grip them so oil doesn't get on your hands or furniture).
Pro Tips for Maximum Life & Scent
Location matters: Put your diffuser in high-traffic spots like entryways or hallways—air movement helps spread the scent. Avoid placing it near radiators, air conditioners, or direct sunlight, which makes the fragrance oil evaporate way too fast.
Control the intensity: More reeds equal a stronger scent, but the oil runs out faster. Fewer reeds mean a lighter scent that lasts longer.
Maintenance: Give the reeds a flip every week or two whenever you notice the fragrance fading. Once the reeds look dark and saturated over time, swap them out for fresh ones so they don't get clogged.
Safety Warning: Essential oils can damage wood, stone, and fabric surfaces. Place a small coaster under your bottle to catch any stray drips!
